Alma Mahaffey Anello, 89, of Bramwell, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Cassell's Board and Care in Princeton. Alma was born December 06, 1924 in Cliff Yards, West Virginia, She attended public schools in Bramwell and graduated from Bramwell High School. She attended Concord College.
She married her lifelong love, Donald F. Anello and they made their home in Bramwell where they were devoted to their community and the Bramwell Presbyterian Church. She was the postmaster for the United States Postal Service for many years at the Bramwell Post Office.
She enjoyed the Bramwell Presbyterian Women of the Church and her bridge club. The last member of her family she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald and brothers Mark, Verle and Carlyle and her sister Ruth Mahaffey Gross.
She is survived by her daughter Carrie Anello Camden Ziglar (Toby) of Kennesaw, Georgia, her granddaughter Lisa Camden-Cockerham (Chris) Fredericksburg, Virginia, grandsons Greg Camden of Bluefield, West Virginia and Dylan Camden and his special friend Alee Auton of Charleston, West Virginia and their father Thomas l. Camden and her great-grandchildren Kodi, Isabella and Chase. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life and she loved spending time with them. She is also survived by nieces Polly Mahaffey Goodner of Houston, TX and Knoxville, TN and Melinda Mahaffey Mullins of Statesville, NC.

STATE DELEGATE DON F. ANELLO DIES:
West Virginia House of Delegates member Donald F. Anello of Bramwell died November 4, 1984 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, N.C. after a short heart illness, according to a funeral home spokesman. Anello was reelected November 6 to his fourth term as a legislator from the 20th Delegate District. He represented Mercer County and parts of McDowell and Wyoming Counties and served on various committees, including the Finance Committee and the Enrolled Bills Committee, of which he was chairman.To replace Anello in the state Legislator, Gov. Rockefeller is expected to choose among three people nominated by members of the district's Democratic committee.
A funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Bramwell Presbyterian Church with Dr. C.H. Patterson of officiating, assisted by Rev. H.D. Brown. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Bluewell. Members of the church Board of Deacons will be pallbearers.
The 67-year-old delegate was a former mayor of Bramwell, where he lived for the past 45 years. He was a former president and member of the Mercer County Court Commission. Born August 10, 1917, at Norwood, Ma., he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Anello, Sr. of Ellicott City, Md. He was a self-employed business man. He was a graduated of Big Creek High School at War and National Business in Roanoke, Va. He was a member of Bramwell Presbyterian Church, where he was chairman of the Board of Deacons. He was a member of Bramwell Masonic Lodge, Bramwell Kiwanis Club and University Club.
Additional survivors: wife, Mrs. Alma Mahaffey Anello of Bramwell; daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Carrie) Camden of Bramwell; sisters, Mrs. Clarence Gunter of Coalwood, Mrs. Milton Lehman, Mrs. Jack Sennett and Mrs. Herbert Gofide of Ellicott City, P.J. Carchedi and J.C. Carchedi of Norwood, Ma. He was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Anello, Jr.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. today at Cravens-Shires Funeral home and at the church one hour prior to the services.
