| The olive oil bottle and vinegar cruet were found at Autumn Haze Farm, Amissville Virginia over the past 50 years and represent the hundreds of findings of such bottles. The vinegar cruet is four inches inches tall and was discovered buried under the ground about a inch below the ground surface. The olive oil bottle is six inches tall. This unique vintage Pompeian glass olive oil bottle has a winged top. It was found in a very old family trash dump about 30 years ago. It has the markings of: DESIGN PAT, 91898, POMPEIAM, OLIVE OIL on the bottom of the bottle. This bottle has the orignal top and one can see it was once blue with some lettering still visable. The vinegar cruet has the number 895 and the number 3 on the bottom. Both items show the "full bottle seam" indicating being manfactured after 1914. Both these items are in excellent condition. |
