- Memories :
The
early 1950s were a special time in history of
Bramwell, WV. Gasoline was about 20 cents a
gallon. Television was just coming to Bramwell
and a few other conveniences that we take for
granted now. A family of Bramwell students
consisting of the Class of '53 were growing up together. In
1953 we individually stepped forward, alone, into
a world filled with hope, surprises and unknowns.
We who survived have witnessed a world of changes
and are in many ways better citizens because of
them. We each take pride in our accomplishments
and the background from which we came. Our ties
to the past now fill us with mostly wonderful
memories which we cherish dearly. At our BHS 50th
class reunion now a cherished memory we have
renewed our everlasting friendship. Long ago that
friendship bonded us forever, while growing up in
"Almost Heaven" West Virginia.
Purpose: The
purpose of this site is
to kindle those memories of our time together,
provide internet web communication for the Class
of 1953 and other Bramwell High School Alumni,
provide an electronic archive (a memorial, if you
will) for the lives of this special class of 1953
along with other Bramwell High School's alumni
and to pay tribute to those that have passed on.
