Coopers School

This picture was taken in 1924 of the students at the "Old" Coopers School. The school building was located between Shinbrier and Coopers,WV. It was a two room school and served grades one through four. The land on which the school was built was donated by Eli Rhodes. When a new school was constructed in 1927 the land reverted back to Mr. Rhodes and a house was constructed on this land by Howard and Marge Frazier using lumber from the old school building. Many of these students will be identified in a later effort.
