Davy is a small, incorporated town in McDowell County, West Virginia, with a history tied to the local coal mining industry. Located in the scenic Appalachian Mountains, it is primarily a residential community situated along the Norfolk Southern Railway. 

 The 2020 census recorded a population of 209, a decrease from 420 in 2010. Recent estimates from 2025 show a continued decline.The town was founded in 1873 as "Hallsville" but was renamed Davy by 1901. It was officially incorporated in 1948. Davy is located in the rugged, mountainous terrain of McDowell County. Davy has historically been a coal mining town. Recent demographic data indicates a low median household income and a high poverty rate compared to state and county averages.The town is known for its quiet, close-knit community. 

Local government Davy has a mayor's office and a city hall that serve as administrative centers for the town.The town is part of McDowell County, and residents can interact with various county offices for services.
