WARREN, Ohio – Elbert "Dizzy" L. Harris, age 86, entered into eternal rest Monday, March 31, 2025 at Gillette Nursing Home. He was born September 27, 1938 in Bramwell, West Virginia, the son of Elbert L. and Thelma "Louise" (Phelps) Harris. Dizzy attended Howland High School in Warren, Ohio and kept a standing breakfast date with several of his classmates. He would have been a graduate of the BHS 1956 class but his family moved to Warren, Ohio in the early 1950s. Dizzy loved the town of Bramwell and BHS. He was known by everyone in the town and returned may times for the Town's yearly reunion. He was a dear friend and will be sorely missed. He retired from the Republic Steel Company. When he was young, he loved auto racing and was active in drag racing. A sentimental, thoughtful soul, Dizzy honored people by making memorials for them and placing the memorials on their graves. Precious memories of Dizzy live on with his beloved wife of 65 years, Mary Olive (Foos) Harris, whom he married January 28, 1960; his daughter, Christine Cope (Michael) of Howland and his granddaughter, Jennifer Reese.
