Elizabeth Powell Mills, born Jun 15, 1914 in Freeman, W.Va., died Feb. 11, 2011 in Altamonte Springs, Fla. Mrs. Mills is a 1933 graduate of Bramwell High School, Bluefield Business College and worked throughout southern West Virginia for the coal mining community.

She was the owner of Bill’s Drive Inn with her husband Franklin during the 50’s and 60’s.

She was the daughter of the late Ed and Ethel Martin Powell and sister of the late Willis Powell.

Her husband, Robert Franklin Mills preceded her in death. She is survived by daughter, Elizabeth Powell Miller of Altamonte Springs, Fla. and sons, Robert (Linda Phlegar) Franklin Mills of Altamonte Springs, Fla. and Richard (Lynda Hill) of Cocoa, Fla. She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Virginia Blankenship Bird of Lantana, Fla. and brother, Donald K. Blankenship of Middlesboro, Ky.
