IN MEMORY OF EUNICE GARRETT POWELL
Eunice Garrett Powell ( 1908 - 2000 ) was born in Duhring, WV and received her B.S Degree from Concord College. She began her teaching career at Goodwell, WV. She also taught at McComas and Bramwell High School and was the assistant principal of BHS. As of the year 1969 when this picture was taken she had taught at Bramwell for 23 years. Her speciality was the elementary and primary grades. The below Bramwell High School photograph was taken in 1968 and Miss Eunice Garrett. Miss Garrett was an Assistant Principal with both grade and high schools to supervise. That was the year that Mr. Dwight W. McCormick retired as Principal of Bramwell High School.
Memories of this wonderful teacher will be with her students forever.
