GOODWILL'S LOUISVILLE COMPAMY STORE EMPOYEES
The top left photograph is of Mr. Ringham in the shoe department and was taken by Virginia Garrett Gwynn in April 1957. Mr. Ringham was the payroll clerk and company store manager in the last years at this Goodwill Company Store. The top right photograph was taken by Virginia Garrett Gwynn in April 1957 and is of Mr. Ringham, store manager, and Christine Birchett, store clerk. The bottom left photo was aken in April 1957 in the shoe dept. of the Company Store in Goodwill and shows Mr. Ringham, in front. Second row is Christine Birchett, Foxy Robinson Smith, Frankie Fuda, Virginia Garrett Gwynn, and Charles Williams. In the back row is Stella Harrison, and Sherman "Mack" MacReynolds with his face partially hidden. The bottom right photograph was taken in April 1957 by Virginia Garrett Gwynn and is of Edgar Worley, store clerk at company store, Goodwill. All these photographs were taken in the Louisville Company Store at Goodwill, WV. taken in April 1957. The photographer was Virginia Garrett Gwynn. The store was built in 1887, closed in 1958, and demolished in 1960-61. The store managers there were: Bernard Johnston, Ed Sutton, Charles Gwynn, and Mr.Ringham. Inside the store was the payroll office where Mr. Ringham, Mr. Swigger, and Vilda Gundisch paid the employees. In the basement in the front of the store was the Junk Stand. It was opened at night for people who wanted pop, candy, ice cream and other basics. Byrd "Cappy" Johnston, Sleepy Horton, and Tuffy Hurst were the clerks.
