Goodwill's Christmas Celebration - 1920s

These photos were taken at Goodwill by Mr. and Mrs. Jim Poole probably in the late 1920's.  They would decorate the big pine tree that was below the company store and in front of the post office.  Treats were given to every member of every family by two coal miners dressed as Santa Claus, and in the evening a big bonfire was built, and everybody would gather around the tree and sing Christmas carols. You can see the two Santa Claus miners in top and second photographs.
