IN MEMORY OF GRACE STACEY WALK

BLUEFIELD — Grace Ramona Stacey Walk, 78, of Glenwoood Park Retirement Village, formerly of 721 Albemarle St., Bluefield, W.Va., passed away Monday, October 27, 2008 in a Princeton hospital.
Born February 17, 1930 in Jenkinjones, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late McKinley and Margaret Robinson Stacey.
Mrs. Walk was a very active member of the Bland Street United Methodist Church where she was involved in the United Methodist Women and the Thelma Massie Circle and also the Top Level Club-Spice of Life where she was a Treasurer for many years. Grace was retired from the Bluefield Community Hospital as a Director of Nursing. Mrs. Walk was also very active in many local organizations such as the Bluefield Civic League, American Legion Auxiliary, and was a volunteer for both the American Red Cross and Hospice.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest "Bruce" Walk, and four sisters: Willie Mae Pennington, Helen Salisbury, and twin sisters Edith and Elsie Stacy who passed away at birth.
Survivors include two sons: Steven Bruce Walk and wife Dori of Staunton, Va., Thomas Preston Walk of Tazewell, Va., a daughter Dona Walk Neal and husband Shannon of Summerfield, N.C., two sisters; Betty Joe "B.J." Smith, Peggy Murphy, two grandchildren: Mitchell Steven Walk and wife Beth, Tyler Graham Walk, and grand puppy Maggie.

Funeral services for Mrs. Walk will be conducted Friday, October 31, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David L. Hall, Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery located in Princeton, W.Va.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be friends and family members.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, October 30, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
