John Carlyle Blanton was a member of the Bramwell High School 1909 Class. He server as Psttmaster of the Freeman, WV Post Office for many years. He lived his life out in Freeman, WV on Bluestone. Ave. near Bramwell high School. He was well known throughout the community. He was the son of Sidney Montague Blanton and Kate Freeman Blanton. Sidney Montague Blanton married Kate Freeman on Nov. 14, 1889 in Mercer County, WV.
