ALHAMBRA, California - Lois M. Harris Fleming, 85, 325 South Electric Ave., Alhambra, and formerly of Warren, died Friday, May 19, 2000, in San Gabriel Valley Medical Center following a short illness.
She was born November 2, 1914 in Bramwell, West Virginia, a daughter of Elbert Lee and Dora Jane Bell Harris and moved to California in 1963. Her husband was Paul Paderewski Fleming.
She was a 1933 graduate of Bramwell High School.
Mrs. Fleming formerly worked as a waitress at the Sunrise Inn, had also worked at Griswold and May Co. and the Appliance Store in Warren, and while in California, worked at Woolworth's Co. and had been an apartment building manager.
Her husband, Paul P. Fleming, died January 4, 1955. Survivors include a son, Paul P. Fleming Jr. of Alhambra, California; daughter, Carol Fisher of Reno, Nevada; sister, Edith Butt of Bramwell, West Virginia; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. A daughter, Jean Fleming; son, Frank Fleming; nine brothers; six sisters; and a grandson are deceased.
The funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Robert H. Roberts-Clark Memorial Home, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Obituary appeared May 25, 2000 in the Tribune Chronicle newspaper of Warren, Ohio.
