Bramwell High School Class '59 - In Loving Memory

"Fellow BHS classmates still live in our hearts and memories. They shared the dreams of all of us. Their departure may separate us physically but not spiritually."

Carlotta Yvonne Lucas was born on Pearl Harbor Day at the home of her parents, Mike and Erma Lucas, on top of Jones' Hill near Bramwell, WV.  She was a coal miner's daughter. She died September 5, 2003 in Bethesda, Maryland.   Carlotta had a beautiful singing voice. When Carlotta left Bramwell she went to Eastern Pilgrim College in Allentown, Pennsylvania.  She majored in voice there and touched many people's lives through the years with her beautiful singing.  

Carlotta and Carl Ramsey of Norfolk, Virginia were married on January 17, 1965 at the Tidewater Central Church of the Nazarene.   Carlotta met Carl as pen pals and they were married for 38 wonderful years.  They had one child, Yvonne Lynn Ramsey, born March 28, 1973.  ( Photo from BHS 1959 Senior Class photographs. )
