| Mr.
Bill G. Moore was born in Bramwell, graduated from
Bramwell High School and received his Bachelor's Degree
from Concord College. He holds a Masters Degree from West
Virginia University. Prior to this principal position Mr.
Moore had been principal at West Virginia's Oakvale High
School and Glenwood. In addition, he had served as
principal at WV's Matoaka and Fairview schools. He also
had previously taught of these schols. BRAMWELL Billy G. Moore, 86, of Bramwell, died Monday, May 22, 2006 at the Westwood Center in Bluefield, Va. Born Dec. 4, 1919, in Shinbrier, he was a son of the late John Graham Moore and Alpha Lee Roy Moore. In addition to his parents, a brother, five sisters, and a niece preceded him in death. Mr. Moore had been a life-long resident of the Bramwell area. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Army. A retired educator, he had earned a BA Degree from Concord College, a MA Degree from West Virginia University, and 38 additional graduate study hours from West Virginia University and Marshall University. Mr. Moore had taught in the local school systems at Bramwell High School, Anawalt School, and Oakvale High School. He had served as assistant principal at Oakvale School and as principal at Glenwood School, Matoaka High School, Fairview School, and Bramwell School. He was a member of the Mercer County Educational Association, the West Virginia Educational Association, and the National Educational Association. Mr. Moore's left $148,000 EACH to Bluefield State, Marshal, Concord, Bluefield Colleges and the Theological School in Richmond, VA. These donations are to be used to set up the B. G. Moore Scholarship for students majoring in Teacher Education.
