Bluefield Daily Telegraph, Bluefield, WV May 15, 2010: Ronald L. Haynes, DDS, 79, died unexpectedly on May 13th at his home in Fraziers Bottom, Charleston, WV. Dr. Haynes recently retired after practicing dentistry nearly 50 years primarily in St.Albans, W.Va. Dr. Haynes was the son of the late Elisha Keen and Abbie Powell Haynes of Bramwell, WV. He was proceeded in death by his twin sister Virginia H. Newberry and older sister Reba Haynes, as well as five brothers; Russell K, Lewis C, Elisha Paul and Ralph E. Haynes. Dr. Haynes graduated from Bramwell High School, West Virginia Institute of Technology, Pre-Dental Studies at the University of Richmond and the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. He was a member of the American Dental Association, West Virginia Dental Association, and the Kanawha Valley Dental Society. Dr. Haynes was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Pt. Pleasant, W.Va., and a former member of St. Mark’s and All Saints Episcopal Church.He was a veteran having served in the Air Force from 1952-1954. Dr. Haynes is survived by his wife Susan Frazier Haynes of Fraziers Bottom; daughters, Kathryn H. Sager of North Carolina, Camilla H. (Tyson) Davis of Ohio; sons, Elisha K. (Rebecca) of California and Ralph M. (Pamela) of Alabama; sister, Marjorie H. Rakestraw of Ohio and brother Ray P. (Marie) of Virginia. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
