BRAMWELL HIGH SCHOOL CLASS '53

IN MEMORY OF HELEN JO SAUL GILLIAM (1934 - 2006)

Helen Jo Saul Gilliam of Bluewell, WV died on 25 April 2006. Helen was a member of the Bramwell High School Class '53 and attended the Class '53 fiftieth reunion held on 12 September 2003. She also attended the most recent BHS Class '53 picnic in August 2005. Helen was loved by all her classmates and our memories of her will always be cherished.

Helen Jo Gilliam

Helen Jo Gilliam, 71, of Bluewell, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at the Bluefield Regional Medical Center, Bluefield following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 13, 1934 in Bluewell, she was the daughter of the late Garland Saul and Anna Hambrick.

She lived in Bluewell, WV all of her life and was employed at Frankie's LaSalute for over 25 years. She was also a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Bluefield.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Joseph R. “Buddy” Gilliam, preceded her in death.

Survivors include: Daughters: Tammy Mason and husband Larry of Boissevain, Va., Brenda Sahtoe and husband Yves of Bradenton, Fla., Lee Ann Ward and husband Joe of Huntington; sister: Mary C. Saul of Bluewell; brother-in-law: Ronnie Gilliam of Bluewell; sister-in-law: Theresea Gilliam of Virginia.

Funeral services will be held at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell on Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jim Milam officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.

Friends and family may call at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home today, April 28, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Flowers may be sent to the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Gilliam family.
