Shirley Minnick Smith (1935-2012) passed away on Noveber 28, 2012. Shirley was a member of the 1953 graduating class of Bramwell High School. She went on to have a career as a high school teacher. Shirley and her husband, Lloyd were both career teachers at the same high school in Richlands, VA. Having been world travelers, Shirley and Lloyd retired and lived in Sun City Center, FL near Tampa, where Shirley was very active in her community and dedicated to her church. She was instrumental in organizing the BHS Class '53 fiftieth reunion and contributed heavily toward making this event successful. Shirley is remembered by all her friends and classmates for her dedication to helping others. Shirley remains loved by all who knew her and she will forever remain in our memories. Shirley Minnick Smith's husband, Lloyd Alfred Smith, age 83, of Cedar Bluff, VA passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 at the Commonwealth Assisted Living in Cedar Bluff, VA. He was born December 18, 1936 in West Virginia. He was a member of the Sun City Center United Methodist Church in Florida. Mr. Smith was a retired school teacher and driver’s education instructor at Richlands High School. He was an avid West Virginia Fan.
