Historic Bramwell Pioneers: Henry Harrison and Mary Butt

By: MARVIN WILSON TABOR - November 28, 2010

I am a direct decedent [father's family] of Henry Harrison and Mary Butt. After returning from the Civil War, He settled in the valley from Pinnacle State Park [on US 52 one mile south of Bramwell, WVa] and originally had the land from "The Pinnacle" to the Bluestone River. HE WAS ONE OF TWO ORIGINAL SETTLERS OF BRAMWELL. The other was Col. Greene Belcher [ Civil War Union Officer] from whom I am a direct decendent [mother's family].
One of Henry's & Mary's sons was Samuel Walton Tabor, my grandfather. He married Maude Gay Aldridge from Floyd County VA. Another son of Sam's was Arch Tabor, for whom I have noted that many folks are trying to locate info regarding. I have been in contact for years with some of Arch's decendents.

I DO HAVE LOTS OF INFO, GOING BACK TO 1315 A.D. IN ENGLAND.Now that I am retired, I will be spending more time on the family.
