DR. SIMEON JOSEPH BRYANT.(1865 - 1939 )
( Photograph from 1929 ) Dr. Simeon Joseph Bryant was pharmacist and owned the historic Bramwell Pharmacy . He was born in Crab Orchard, Kentucky in1865. Dr. Bryant was the son of Lewis Hutchinson Bryant and Jemima Menefee Roberts. He married Ella Nora Thompson, and they resided at Bramwell, WV for many years. They had three chidren. She was the daughter of Wayne Thompson and Jennie Gore Thompson. Besides his wife and parents, one daughter proceded Dr. Bryant to the grave. Nora Ella Thompson Bryant was born in Barry, Missouri and died at the age of 55 on Nov. 16, 1938. Dr. Bryant's death came less than a year later on Oct. 9, 1939 at the age of 74. They are buried in the Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, Bluewell, WV. The informant of Dr. Bryant's death was his son, Simeon Joseph Bryant, Jr. (1912-1976). His other son was James Marion Bryant.
