Calvin Lee "Cal" Whittaker, Jr. (age 82) of Collierville, TN died on Wednesday morning, April 26, 2017 in Memphis, TN. Calvin was the eldest son of Calvin Lee and Edna Williams Whittaker.

Calvin attended Montcalm School and graudated from Bramwell High School, Bramwell, WV. and attended West Virginia Business College in Bluefield,WV. Calvin served in the US Navy and was stationed with the US Marine Corp in San Diego, CA. as a hospital Corpman.

Calvin was a member of the Masonic Hampton Lodge # 204. Calvin retired from Pepsi in Collierville in 1996, having been in mamagement for 19 years there. Prior to moving to TN, Calvin was Plant Manager of Shasta Beverage in Eustis, FL. north of Orlando.

Calvin was preceded in death by his Father, Lee and Mother, Edna, and his Brother-in-law, Ronnie Martin. Also by his Father-in-law Robson Grainger, his Mother-in-law Eloise Grainger and Brother-in-law Larry Grainger.

Calvin is survived by his wife of 57 years, Julia "Punky" Granger Whittaker, His son , David Whittaker of Collierville, TN. ,His daughter, Linda Whittaker Cooper and son-in-law Bradley Cooper of Potts Camp, MS. Calvin had three grandchildren, Megan Cooper. Dalton Cooper of Potts Camp, MS, and Robson Lee Whittaker of Collierville, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested thatDonations be made to the Collierville Animal Shelter, 603 East South St. Collierville, TN. 380174 Services were held on Saturday April, 29, 2017 at 11:00 am graveside at Salem Cemetery, with a visitation from 10:00 am until service time at the Salem Baptist Church.
