Carol S. Lessor, 66, of Casa Grande, Arizona died May 13, 2000.
Mrs. Lessor was born in Goodwill, West Virginia. Carol was the daughter of Elmer "Buster" and Edna Bailey. She lived in Casa Grande, AZ for 40 years and was an operator for United Bank of Arizona for 28 years before retirement.
Carol Sue spent several years of her youth living in Bluewell,WV where her parents operated a service station near the Woodlawn Cemetery. The following is a snapshot of Carol Sue Bailey's life that was captured by the 1940 U.S. Census. When Carol Sue Bailey was born about 1934, her father, Elmer, was 29, and her mother, Edna, was 27. In 1940, she was 6 years old and lived in Beaver Pond, West Virginia, with her father, mother, and 2 brothers.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, A. J. Lessor; two sons, Rory Lessor, of Peoria and Randy Lessor, of Casa Grande; ; four brothers, Dickey Bailey of North Carolina, Bobby Bailey, of West Virginia, Marshall and Darrel Bailey, both of Indiana; three half sisters, Janice Hume, of Prescott, Diane Leyndon, of Indiana and Debbie Murphy, of Florida and four grandchildren.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cole & Maud Mortuary. Private services were held later.
