This view of Coaldale features the area of the old Coaldale tunnel, dating back to 1915. It doesn't show the tunnel intrance but whoever took the picture was standing on top of the tunnel looking west and shows the old smokestack and the old company store and railroad station.

The bottom photograph is Coaldale in 1900.
