Mr. Bill Vance Duff, 61, of Charlotte, NC died Wednesday, April 1, 1998 at Carolinas Medical Center. Mr. Duff was born August 4, 1936 in Maybeury, WV; the son of the late Bill V. Duff, Sr. and Sallie Dooley Duff. He was 1954 graduate of Bramwell High School.

He was employed with the Operations Department of BB&T Bank and a member of the Masonic Lodge Temple 676. He was the former owner of Duff-Baldwin Piano Co. and served on the Board of Directors of the Charlotte Jazz Society. Mr. Duff formerly worked in advertising sales for the Observer and was publisher of several small town area newspapers.

Mr. Duff is survived by two sons, Steven Vance Duff of Panama City, FL and Blaine Duff of Knoxville, TN; adopted daughter, Cathy; sister, Ann; brother, Charles; grandchildren, Timothy and Amy Warwick of Knoxville,TN; friend, Martha Cloninger of Mt. Holly; former wives, Dorothy Francisco of Richmond, VA and Mary Doster of Charlotte.

A memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 1998 from the chapel of Lowe-DeBord Funeral Home, 471 Margaret Wallace Rd., with Rev. Bessie Hughes officiating.
