Eula Mae Savage, age 88, of Dagsboro, DE died Monday, October 14, 2024 at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. She was born on October 31, 1935 in Barnardsville, NC and was the daughter of the late Thel Shuford and Ellen (Hyatt) Shuford. She was a retired educator from the Indian River School District. She retired in 1998 after 45 years and taught also in Kentucky and Laurel, DE. She was a former member of the Dagsboro Town Council. Mae enjoyed retirement and liked to read, studying Egyptian Culture and spending time with her husband, son and granddaughter. She is survived by her husband, Earl Savage; a son, Bryan Savage and wife Jennifer of Wake Forest, NC; a granddaughter, Sydney Savage of Wake Forest, NC; a brother, Richard Shuford and wife Carolyn of Weaverville, NC; a sister, Suzanne Lawless of Knoxville, TN; a niece and two nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville. Friends may call an hour before the service. Burial will be in Prince George's Cemetery in Dagsboro.
