Giles Wilson Cook, BHS Class '54

Giles Wilson Cook, age 82, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Monday November 12, 2018 surrounded by family. Giles (also known as Gil) was born May 6, 1936 in Freeman, West Virginia to Virginia Kathleen Sparks Cook and Woodrow Wilson Cook.

Gil is survived by his wife, Joyce Huffman Cook; daughter Kristin Myers (Grady); son Gary A. Cook(Linda); his sister Mabel Cook Martin, brothers; Jesse Ray Cook (Connie) and Junior Woodrow Cook (Linda); and 4 grandchildren. Senior Master Sergeant Cook served the Air Force as a computer analyst with global implications.Most recently, Gil was an active member of the First Assembly of God in Montgomery.

A graveside service for Gil was held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109.
