IN MEMORIAM - BHS CLASS '61

JAMES EDWARD "JIMMY" HAYNES

 

MONTCALM—James Edward ‘Jimmy' Haynes, 50, of Box 486, Montcalm, died Wednesday August 24, 1994, at his home. Born October 12, 1943 in Bluefield, he was the son of Paul Haynes of Maybeury and the late Gladys Tabor Haynes. He had been a resident of Montcalm for 14 years and was employed by the State of West Virginia as a road construction superintendent for 17 years.

He was a 1961 graduate of Bramwell High School and attended Bluefield State College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors; daughters, Heather Haynes and Lana Haynes, both of Montcalm; step-mother, Grace Haynes of Maybeury; sisters, Pam Powers of Madison Heights, Va., and Dawn Ballantyne of Roanoke; and brothers, David Haynes of Freeman, Paul Haynes of Lynchburg, Va. and Michael Haynes of Roanoke.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with the Rev. Clark Peloubet officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton. Friends may call tonight at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m.
