In 1893 he moved to Bramwell, WV and engagued in the merchantile business for about three years. In 1897 he accepted the position as Store Manager for the Buckeye Coal Company. He held this position until 1904. At that time he was given the position of Generl Manager of the Buckeye Coal Company. He held that position until the time of his death in 1934 at the age of 68. John "Coon" Pack married Emma H. Johnston in 1887.
