John Conrad "Coon" Pack was raised on the family farm, near Hinton, WV until the age of 18. In 1893 he moved to Bramwell, WV and engagued in the merchantile business for about three years. In 1897 he accepted the position as Store Manager for the Buckeye Coal Company. He held this position until 1904. At that time he was given the position of Generl Manager of the Buckeye Coal Company. He held that position until the time of his death in 1934 at the age of 68. John "Coon" Pack married Emma H. Johnston in 1887.

Paul Meador Pack - Born: Jan. 1897 in WV and was married in 1924 in Mercer Co. WV to Mabel Blanch Hale. Paul Meador Pack (1897 - 1971) was the General Mgr. of Buckeye Coal & Coke Company. His father had once held this same position. Paul Pack was well known in the coal mining community. Paul M. Pack's life was captured by the 1940 U.S. Census. In 1940, he was 42 years old and lived in Bramwell, Rock District, West Virginia, with his wife, Blanche Age (38) , and 2 sons: J. William Pack (Age 12) and Allen Scott Pack (Age 9).
