( 1934-2006)

MONTCALM— James Elwood Perkins, 71, of Montcalm, passed away to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at Charleston Medical Center after a short illness.

James was born on Dec. 27, 1934 in Montcalm to William C. and Cora Knuckles Perkins who preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Bramwell High School, Class '54 and served two years in the U.S. Army. He worked briefly in the coal mines. James was a kind and loving brother and loved gardening and watching all sports. He was an avid athlete.

In addition to his parents, one sister, Evelyn Penturff and one brother, William A. Perkins, preceded him in death.

Survivors: Sisters: Patricia Eller of the home and Barbara Perkins of the home; brothers: Clayton Perkins and wife Kathryn of Princeton, Arnold R. Perkins and wife Lois of Lorton Lick Road.
