BRAMWELL HIGH SCHOOL

IN MEMORY OF BHS COACH ROBERT WRAY

Coach Robert Wray was born on October 18, 1950 and passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017. He was a resident of Vinton, Virginia at the time of passing. A Memorial Service was held in honor of the memory of Coach Wray at Saint Paul United Methodist Church, 502 Gilmer Avenue, Northwest, Roanoke, Virginia, 24016 at 1:00 pm, with visitation at 12:00 noon on December 15, 2017.

Coach Robert Wray coached at Bramwell High School for thirteen years and his 1988 basketball team won the West Virginia State Championship. He was a great coach and wonderful person.

Coach Wray took BHS to four consecutive WVIAA state tournaments. Bramwell was undefeated in 1986-87 before losing to another unbeaten team, Paden City in the state championship game.

Bramwell posted a 51-3 win/lose record over the two 1987 and 1988 basketball seasons.
