IN MEMORY OF ROLAND E. FREEMAN - BHS CLASS '41

Funeral services for Roland E. Freeman, 46, of Bramwell, who died Wednesday. March 18, 1970 in a Lexingtn, Ky. Veterans hospital after a long illness, will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. V.E. Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow in Monte Vista Park Cemetery on the Bluefield-Princeton Road.

Born January 27, 1923 at Bramwell, he was a son of the late Charles Wesley and Martha Wheeler Freeman. He was a lifelong resident of Bramwell and a Navy veteran.

Survivors include one daughter, Rita Freeman of Bluefield; two brothers, William R. Freeman of Bluefield and Charles W. Freeman, Jr. of Charleston; one sister, Mary Liewellyn Freeman of Arlington, Va. Pallbearers will be Carl Cox, Donald Murphy, J.C. Newbold, Richard Painter, Donald Anello, Donnie Allen and Glen Scott. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 10 p.m. Published Thursday, March 19, 1070 in the Bluefield Daily Telegraph.
