![]() Bluefield Daily Telegraph: ROANOKE, VA — Thomas Faw, 79, of Roanoke, Va. passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013 due to a brief illness. He was the proud owner of Virginia Lift Truck, Inc. for 35 years and enjoyed serving his many customers. Thomas served his country in the U.S. Army where he received The Soldiers Medal of Honor for Heroism, which was presented to him in 1958 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. He especially enjoyed his family and grandchildren and spending time at the lake. Thomas was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Ray Faw; sister, Faye Robinette and is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Martha Faw; two sons, Mark Anthony Faw and Thomas (Jeff) Jeffrey Faw; three grandchildren, Matthew Lee Faw, Lucas Taylor Faw and wife, Andrea and Grace Ann Faw; one brother, Everett Faw and wife, Pamela; two sisters-in-law, Martha Jane Chudina and Dorothy Chudina; and many loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help with Father Tom DeKaa officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Immediately following the interment a reception will be held at the Church. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's North Chapel.
