Mrs. Herman Wiley (Katherine Cook) Hill, 66, of Bramwell, died Thursday, December 11, 1980, in a Richmond, Va. hospital after a illness. She had been a Bramwell resident for 47 years, where she was a life-time member of the Bramwell Presbyterian Church. She was a retired teacher and guidance counselor from Bramwell High School after 40 years of service. She was a graduate of Bluefield and Mary Washington Colleges, and did her graducate work at WV University and the University of Kentucky. She was a life-time member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and a member of various education associations. Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are one daughter, Dr. Dennis (Mary Katherine) DeLeo of Altoona, Pa.; two sons, Herman Wiley Hill, Jr. and Henry Joseph Hill both of Morgantown, W.V.; three sisters, Mrs. Russell (Mary) Dean of Charleston, Mrs. Loring (Marjorie) Lyford of Richmond, Va., and Mrs. Charles (Zella) Durham of Bluefield; one brother, James Cook of Bluefield and five grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bramwell Presbyterian Church with Dr. C.H. Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
