IN MEMORY OF MRS. NAOMI GODSEY RICHARDSON
Naomi Godsey Richardson, 86, of Bluefield, WV, died Monday, February 15, 2016 at her home. Born September 22, 1929 in Bluefield, WV, she was a daughter of the late Claude Godsey and Margaret McLaughlin Godsey.
Mrs. Richardson was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school. She was a graduate of Concord College and retired as a classroom and music teacher at Bramwell schools. She was a former member of Delta Kappa Gamma and the Retired Teachers Organization.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Eileen Richardson. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, David S. Richardson; two children, Daveen Denardo and Edward Richardson, both of Bluefield; six grandchildren, Zachary Denardo of Bluefield, WV and Andrew Denardo of Morgantown, WV, Abigail Richardson and Grace Richardson, both of Bluefield, and Bailey Cassell of Lynchburg, VA, and Camden Cassell of Sarasota, FL, and their mother, Christina Richardson of Bluefield; and nephew, Ronald Richardson of Jacksonville, FL.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Wanda Childs officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour. Burial will follow at Monte Vista Park Cemetery where Zachary Denardo, Andrew Denardo, Tom Rohrer, Jim Grainger, William Damewood, and Justin Spracher will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that memorial contributions be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 103 Duhring Street, Bluefield, WV 24701.
