Peggy Mitchell Hensley was born on November 15, 1926, in Duhring, WV, the daughter of John and Edith (Bailey) Mitchell. She graduated from Bramwell High School in 1944. Peggy married Harry Franklin Hensley in the Methodist Parsonage in Linton, ND, on April 6, 1946. They made their home in Bismarck until death.

Peggy was an outreach worker at the Burleigh County Senior Adults Program from 1976 until 1982. She loved living in North Dakota and spending time outdoors fishing and camping. She was known for her willingness to give a helping hand whoever needed it. Her joy was helping people in need.
