Death: Mar. 24, 2008

Hattie Hill Rigney, 91, of Moneta, Va. formerly of Salem, VA and originally of Bramwell, WV passed away Monday, March 24, 2008. She was born January 14, 1917 in Mercer County, W.Va., daughter of the late Wiley M. and Blanche Williamson Hill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Albert Rigney, daughter, Ann Hill Rigney, granddaughter, Deede Grace, one sister, Hilda Johnson and four brothers, Hampton, Herman, Harold and Howell Hill. Mrs. Rigney was a homemaker, a longtime member of Bramwell Presbyterian Church, and was a charter member of Glenvar Creative Homemakers Club. She is survived by her daughter, Kay Grace; grandson, Michael Grace; sister, Dorothy James; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008 at the Chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Dr. Jan Fuller officiating. Interment followed at Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem, VA.
