Eva Yon Hill, age 89, of Bramwell, W.Va., passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at her home. Born on April 16, 1924 in Bramwell, she was a daughter of the late Livio and Cristina Yon. She had been a lifelong resident of Bramwell and was a member of the Bramwell Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate of Bramwell High School and the McLains Business College. She was a retired bookkeeper at Newbolt-Keesling Theaters and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton T. Hill; and a brother, Harry I. Yon. Survivors include: son, Stephen C. Hill and wife Barbara of Elkview; daughter, Cristina Hill of Bramwell; one grandchild, Matt Hill and wife Kersha of Charleston, W.Va.; two great-grandchildren, Keegan and Torrhyn Hill; sister: Alma Murphy, of Bramwell
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. James Milam officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Jerry and Charles Yon, Greg Murphy, Matt Hill, Gareth Settle and Michael Eller serving as pallbearers. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Bramwell Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 97 Bramwell, WV 24715. Friends may call on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
